I interviewed through TechSavannah and was informed that I had passed the interview. I was required to submit multiple background check documents (including CRB and certificate of good conduct) which i obtained at my own cost. I was later informed that the checks were satisfactory, after which communication stopped.Only after repeated follow-ups was I told my salary expectations were suddenly considered too high despite these having been clearly discussed upfront and confirmed as within budget. I was also asked to provide my previous payslip, which raised ethical concerns.
Advice to Management:
Be transparent and decisive about compensation early on, avoid requesting unnecessary personal documents unless an offer is imminent, and ensure candidates receive clear closure after investing time and resources in the process.
