My experience with the interview process at MBC Group was a mix of positives and negatives.
The process started well, with an initial screening by HR, followed by an interview with the design lead. This interview went smoothly, and I was given a sizable assignment to complete within three days. However, the brief provided was unclear, and I wasn’t given any materials or assets to work with, which made the task unnecessarily challenging. Despite these obstacles, they were pleased with my submission and scheduled a second interview with the design lead.
This second interview lasted 1.5 hours, but I found it to be unprofessional and unstructured, with no apparent preparation on their side. While I did my best to navigate the conversation, the lack of organization was disappointing.
What was most frustrating, however, was the lack of communication afterward. Despite following up with an email, I received no response. After investing significant time and effort into their process, I expected at least the courtesy of a final decision or feedback.
While MBC Group has a strong reputation, my experience with their hiring process did not reflect the level of professionalism I had anticipated. Clear communication and respect for candidates’ time are essential, and I hope they improve in these areas.
