Applied online. Received an email for an interview at their Carlsbad office. I replied in an email that no pay range was listed and I told them that the cost of living is very high, so I'd like to know the range because I don't live with my parents. My next email I received was that they don't want to interview me because I lived too far away. Let's face it though, they don't want to pay interns a survivable wage. He replied back saying that they do pay interns well but wouldn't give me a range and they also said that they need some one urgently. If it's urgent why schedule interviews so far out in advance? Assuming I can't start right away because I live in Ventura presently seemed discriminatory. Let's face it, i got the feel this company wants cheap expandable interns. My advice: Stick to interns posted through your school or internships your friends tell you about but don't waste your time with this company.
