I completed an online application and was contacted within a week, soliciting my availability for a 45-minute 1:1 interview with the Hiring Manager by webcam. I received a standardized follow-up shortly thereafter. Overall, the interview was fairly typical. An introduction to the company, a description of the role, a few standard battery questions. My experience left a lot to be desired. The manager was unenthusiastic at best, unfriendly at worst. It felt like a "courtesy" interview. I was hoping to hear some positives about the company, the people, the role itself, which didn't happen. In hindsight, I'm not disappointed about not receiving an invitation to continue interviewing. I think I'd have a hard time "selling" candidates on joining this company.
