      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso MRM (New York, NY) nel mese di ago 2018

      Colloquio

I applied through their website and was contacted by an internal recruiter a few days later to set up an initial phone screen. That went well and I was asked to come in for interviews with the hiring manager and a few other members of the team. The interview went great. Honestly, I don't think I've ever had one go so well. My skills and experience was a perfect match, and I had additional expertise in an industry that was critical to them. I got a call from the recruiter less than 20 minutes after leaving, asking if I'd be able to come back in a few days later to meet with the a more senior manager. I scheduled that for Tuesday. On Monday, the recruiter emails me asking if I had time to come in that day. I had a meeting near their office, so I was able to make it work. The recruiter assured me it was very informal, and not to worry if I wasn't dressed for an interview. So, I show up and things got all messed up. Apparently, I was meeting with two people. A little annoying, but not a big deal. I was never informed that one of the people would be calling me. So, as I'm waiting in the lobby, I decline a few calls from an unknown number. That turned out to be one of the people I was supposed to speak with. Eventually, the more senior person is ready to speak with me. She was COMPLETELY unprepared. She had never looked at my resume and didn't seem to even know what role I was applying for. She asked a few questions that indicated she didn't know the role. She was also eating during our discussion, which was incredibly rude. She was also very condescending towards me. Needless to say, I didn't get an offer. Not that I'm mad. Talking to the leadership gave me a great look into what it would be like working for MRM McCann. Dealing with someone like that would have been pretty terrible. So, I'm glad that I was able to speak with her and realize that I wouldn't want to be there.
