It was basically composed of technical questions, like modern portfolio theory, Markowitz, Sharpe, factor models, statistical tools and general knowledge in finance. It was casual climate. The second one asked more technical details and the first one was talking about

Once you passed the technical exams part, you will have at least two sets of interview with an associate and then with the hiring manager. First interview will be more about your general knowledge in the field and the second one is your compatibility with the team.

Applied through an employee referral. Got called for interview the next day itself. 3 interviews scheduled with a. The team members (analyst and associate), b. Asst Vice President and c. Director. Took about 3 hours. Was not a very in-depth interview. Have no idea what they were looking for. Director asked for salary expectations, answered. Then he said he has a fix number in his mind to which he is not going to change. I asked him, to give me a salary range, seemed more about getting any available person for lowest salary rather than the best person for the job.
