Applied online & received an e-mail to schedule an interview with Macy's within an hour—available times were at around noon two days later. Arrived at the executive's office to check in with HR and was interviewed shortly after by a very kind and generous interviewer. Basic interview questions are asked and written down by the interviewer, some caught me off guard. Part way, schedule availability was discussed and the interviewer spoke of a possibility to being able to stay employed with the company past the seasonal time-frame if the manager approves. Interviewer informs me that they needed to check on the hiring schedule and leaves the room for about 3 minutes to come back and inform I did not get the job. Kind of disappointed, but I suppose my chances would have been better if I had applied a few weeks prior. Good opportunity overall.
