I applied for Macy's on their company's website. Within 48 hours after I completed the application, I received an email inviting me to an interview. The first thing I noticed when I went into the store was how clean and organized everything looked. The employees were all very kind and greeted anyone who walked into the store, and the atmosphere was professional, yet relaxed. The lady who interview me was very nice and helpful. She asked a few questions about my previous experience and the skills that I can bring into the company. The interview was just 1:1 and took no more than an hour. If there is any advice that I can give for the interview process, it is to be yourself. Relax and try not to rush yourself to provide a quick answer to a question. At the same time, don't stall for more than 15 seconds for one answer. Maintain eye contact with your interviewer. This is pretty much given, but do dress professionally for the interview. Also, it is a good idea to wear all black to the interview, but if you can, try to incorporate a little color into the wardrobe. Oh yeah, and be sure to have a couple of questions ready for the interviewer as well.
