Well I initially applied online via Macys.com, needed a job I had just moved to LA. The process was simple for me, personality test, posted resume. Emailed 2 days later to schedule an interview. Went to Macys, dressed slacks, nice blouse and flats (they're not picky about dress codes , just no jeans). Took the interviewer like 20 min to come get me , as she had another applicant before who was running late... Interview was standard questions , and since I previously worked at Macys it was just questions about past experiences, and how I did with loyalties, and what would I do if I encountered a difficult customer. While they had no part time positions (for which I applied) , I was offered an ON- CALL position on the spot. (on-call positions are flexible schedules, where you work your desired hours per week, in multiple depts.) I love it, I can work as much or as little as I want, but I will say, that you're not always guranteed hours, since your picking up other associates unwanted shifts.
