They are looking for put-together, attractive people. You don't have to be showy or glamorous, but they want you to be attractively professional. Check out their "uniform" in the store and match it for the interview. It is usually all black or black pants and a blazer or cardigan over a conservative blouse. They want someone who is familiar with retail, they want to hear that you like to work with people and it will help if you can show that you are cheerful, yet determined to do a good job. Don't give them a list of days or times that you can't work - kiss of death. It's better to take the job and try switching with your co-workers or working something out with your manager after you've been there a while.
