The ad didn't list salary, and we didn't discuss it til the end of the interview. Early in the interview it was stressed to me that this person needed to be highly dependable, as they had multiple high level responsibilities such as access to the vault, and there were only 3 team members. At the end of the interview, while discussing pay scale, it was divulged that this was in entry level position, and paid accordingly. As a former business owner with decades of relevant experience, I wasn't interested in what seemed to me like a high-pressure, low-pay position. We stopped the interview when it became clear that I would require more money than they would offer, but I do believe that I would've been offered the job if I'd been willing to accept the pay.
