I applied for a part time position via online, I got a email 4 days later asking to schedule an interview via their scheduling system online. I went to the interview dressed professional with a black suit. When I arrived I went to the HR department, and was told to sit and wait for a manager. The manager came out 7 minutes later and did not introduce himself, and then he took me to a back room. He went out to take a personal call, and then came in and started asking me the interview questions. He said excellent to all my answers, and then told me he had a full time registry position available but he would need to check. He left then came back and said it was available but I would need to redo a different application for the position. So I was directed to the computers in HR and then told to redo the application for the position. After I did the application, which took about 35 minutes. I was told that I would be called if they were interested. I called a few days later to see if I could speak with the hiring manager, to see where things were with the process. I did speak with the registry manager, and he was extremely rude about me calling, and told me that I need to speak with HR again. I hung up from him and HR calls me a a couple hours later, and tells me they did not receive the app I did for 35 minutes at their HR department. I then found out that they are having a problem with their system and they would have it fixed so my app could come through the system. I felt like the manager was very unprofessional and was not going to be a good teammate, so I decided not to pursue the job or the issue with the app. But I was very disappointed with the overall process. I am not sure if it was just this Macys location, because it is NJ, but it was very unorganized and unprofessional.
