I was expecting an online interview but it was physical interview 50 km away from my residence for a entry level position and for a first interview. The interviewer asked me extremely unprofessional and undignified questions which were quite personal. The interviewer was less interested in my qualifications than he was with my family's financial situation. He wanted to know who the primary providers were in my family and proceeded to ask me very strange questions about my brothers' employment statuses. I answered his question to the best of my abilities, but I could not understand his logic behind his line of questioning. My worst suspicions were confirmed when he asked me about my stipends of my previous internships, which were unpaid as I had undertaken them in university. He proceeded to ask me the most disrespectful question I had been asked in an interview: "Why do you expect to be paid now?" to which I replied that I am a graduate who expects to be paid to gain financial independence. For this entry level job, the offer given to me were only Sundays off, 8:30 am - 6 pm, first 3 months unpaid, and then 2k AED after the 3 months. Their only point of contact was via whatsapp (which was already very unresponsive), not an email. Needless to say, not taking that job.
