I received a call one week after I submitted my resume. About a week after the phone call, I went in to the office for an interview. The interview was pleasant; there were three people asking questions. The questions seemed standard-- why I went to law school, what i have done in the past, why I want this job, etc. After leaving the interview, I realized that the position would not be geographically feasible for me, so I did not send a followup thank you letter. About a month or so after the interview, I received a letter via snail mail that the office was not offering me a position.
