I was initially contacted by a recruiter and received a preliminary phone interview. I moved to the interview with the hiring manager. One question was very open-ended - "Tell me about yourself." This is an outdated interview question that can leave candidates open to self-discrimination, depending on how they respond. At the end of the interview, I was told I would hear back about the status of the decision and application after they returned from vacation 1.5 weeks later. I waited 2 or 3 weeks before reaching out to the recruiter with whom I had been in communication and inquired about the status of my interview. I never received a response. Like others stated, if you want to be ghosted and not receive a follow up about your application, then this is the place for you to waste your time. It is very unprofessional not to complete and follow through with the candidates regarding their application status. That is part of the full cycle recruitment process. I can only imagine how internal operations are handled.
