The process began with a brief call with the Engineering Manager to discuss our backgrounds, the product, and my experience. On the same day, I received a task. A day or two later (I don’t recall exactly), I received feedback that they were pleased with my results and wanted to arrange a meeting with one of the developers. This meeting included a pair programming session, which was conducted in a very friendly manner.
Following this, I had meetings with the Tech Lead, PM, PD, and then again with the Engineering Manager. Finally, I received a response from a very pleasant HR representative on the same day.
While the process may seem lengthy compared to a few years ago, it allowed both me and Mamo to get to know each other on multiple levels. It also demonstrated their commitment to ensuring a good fit for the entire team, not just the engineering department.
