I submitted a cover letter and resume in response to their Craigslist ad. I met with the CEO who seemed very nice and enthusiastic about education. We hit it off and on the spot he offered to interview me for an even better position but I would need to meet with three other people in the firm. This was totally unexpected and I wasn't prepared for it. The three other women must have disliked my interview because I didn't receive that job. The CEO called me to explain that while he had wanted me they vetoed him. He offered me the original job but I declined. It seemed like a chaotic place to work if the CEO can't lead his employees by making executive decisions. Also, why would I accept a position there knowing the three people immediately senior to me didn't think I was capable of advancing to the superior position? I'm glad I declined. I see the same position I interviewed for every 2-3 months on Craigslist. Turnover must be quite dramatic.
