Broken down into two separate meetings. First one was with the highering manager and was great, provided great information on the role, the organization and direction they are headed. Second interview is where things got awkward, I presume it was supposed to be more technical but it appears they hire some third party consultants to do it. There were supposed to be two of them in the call and only one showed up. He seemed confused as to why he was there and not sure where the other party was. He asked a few generic questions and preemptively told me that he knows nothing about the role, or anything else about the company. And was not clear on exactly what his involvement or his company does for Markel. It was a very short conversation, unlike the first round with the highering manage which was much more fulfilling from an interviewee perspective.
