      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Mars (Madīnat Sittah Uktūbar) nel mese di gen 2026

      Colloquio

one of the worst interview experiences i've had. Right off, the interview invitation email was a long script of how i have to prepare ppt slides introducing myself, my hobbies for some unkown reason, my professional journey and why i see myself a goof fit for this role etc. then it continues to explain that i will placed in a preparation room for 90 mins to work on a case study and edit the ppt i have on hand on my personal laptop in real time to go on and present all this infront of a panel consisting of 4 people + HR. Pretty much excessive for an entry level job at a factory if u ask me. As soon as I walked inside, i was met with alot of plastic faces, insincere check up questions to fill in the awkwardness and then was guided to my preparation room and was instructed to knock on the next door meeting room when done. during my presentation itself was also met with the same insincerity and everyone was having this "i'd rather be somewhere else" face on and after extremely brief introductions, I led on with my presentation where no reactions or interactions was given from them during, some of them were even scrolling through the phone during (i have to believe that i cant be this boring) after finishing and presenting, they didnt seem to comment or ask anything about my presentation or the information that was presented in it. The HR was extremely unprofessional and low key incompetent as a talent acquisition or HR representitive, kept asking the same question again and again expecting different answers everytime, and was unpleased when she suprisingly found out that my answers are more or less revolving around the same point. she was purely talking because she had the floor to talk not to add depth or clarity or come out with a single useful insight of who is the candidate she's interviewing. After around 10 minutes of sharing why i want to join (btw i dont but was exploring my options) they went around the table seeing if anyone has something to ask further and when they didnt, they immediately wished me luck and guided me out without leaving a chance to ask if had any questions, which is a standard phase in any interview to see if the candidate has any questions. Moreover they guided me to leave through a series of access doors that had to be opened with an employee ID which obviously i didnt have which led me to ask a kind man passing by to open these doors so i can leave LOL. I believe that all of this really reflects the kind of culture Mars Egypt has, the utter feeling of grandiosity accompanied by unwelcoming reception and not showing motive to listen or interact during a required hectic candidate's presentation along with HR incomptence as a cherry on top shows how this environment can be somehow toxic and unnurturing.
