Had a full day of meeting people. Mostly soft questions about my education and prior experience. Very friendly office. The beginning of the day comprised of them showing me the office and explaining the firm culture. I was then given a few scenarios and asked to describe how I would tackle certain problems. I had a IQ-like test to complete and several afternoon interviews with various people. This day was followed up with two, more casual phone interviews in which I talked to senior management - they asked me general questions about my background, and were curious to hear detailed info on where I saw my career going. Over all a very interesting firm, I'd recommend looking at them.

BEWARE!!! During my interview, the discussion focused almost exclusively on the proprietary modeling aspects of my trading strategy, with little to no attention given to my programming skills, technical expertise, or broader qualifications. The questions were unusually specific, delving into granular details that appeared designed to extract proprietary methodologies rather than assess my fit for the role. When I expressed discomfort sharing such sensitive information, the interviewer dismissed my concerns by implying I lacked sufficient knowledge—rather than acknowledging the importance of protecting trade secrets. Ultimately, the rejection cited concerns over macro-geopolitical risks—a factor that has persisted for many years without materially affecting market conditions. Given that this risk was known prior to the interview, it raises questions about the true intent behind the process. The selective focus on proprietary strategy details, combined with the dismissive response to confidentiality concerns, suggests an unprofessional approach to candidate evaluation. Proceed with caution if engaging with this firm, particularly if your work involves proprietary models or strategies.
