I applied online and did not get a call for a couple of weeks. I had been interviewing with another company but agreed to a phone interview with Mastermind in case it didn't work out. I Had a phone interview 2 days later with HR, very basic interview questions, it lasted a half hour. I was told at the end of the call I would either be contacted by someone else or not contacted again at all. I received a call later that day to meet a manager at a local store location in a few days for a face to face interview. I was met promptly by the hiring manager then told the interview would take place at the local Tim Hortons?? I am assuming there is no office in these stores? I am used to a far more formal, proffesional interview process with much larger companies so sitting at a booth in a Tim Hortons was disappointing and confusing. The Tim Hortons was very busy with customers sitting directly to our right and left which was very distracting to say the least. We were interrupted several times throughout the interview. The hiring manager seemed distracted and frankly, disinterested. It was very loud in the Tim Hortons and the interview was extremely difficult to get through. Given the interviewers disinterest, I attempted to keep my answers brief in order to expedite the entire, awkward experience. The impression I got was that the position was already filled and my interview was a formality. I ended up accepting an offer for a position with another company, but I still made time for this interview and arrived with a professional attitude and demeaner. I received a call a week later and was told that the position had been filled by somone else. Based on the interview I received, I was not expecting a follow up call at all, so I was pleasantly surprised to get one. If you are looking for employment with an organization that has a professional interview process and presentation, I really can't reccommend this organization based on my experience.
