Ho presentato la mia candidatura di persona. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso MathWorks nel mese di feb 2026

      Colloquio

Dear Hiring Team, I would like to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to interview with MathWorks last month. The process was quite comprehensive, consisting of eight rounds in total — three telephonic discussions, one presentation, and four one-on-one interviews. I appreciate the time and effort invested by the interview panel and the team throughout the process. I had the opportunity to spend a full day at the office interacting with several members of the organization, and I found the discussions engaging and the overall environment very welcoming. The interview process itself felt structured and the people I interacted with were friendly and professional. During the course of the interviews, I believed I was able to address most of the questions effectively and share my experience and perspectives in detail. I also left with a positive impression following the HR discussion regarding the role, benefits, and other organizational aspects. However, I was somewhat surprised to receive the feedback a few days later that I was not selected for the position. While I fully respect the organization’s hiring decisions, I would like to share a few reflections from my perspective in the spirit of constructive feedback. Firstly, based on the discussions during the interview process, I felt confident that I had addressed the majority of the questions and expectations shared by the panel. The outcome therefore came as a surprise, and it would be helpful to understand more clearly where the gaps may have been. Secondly, clearer alignment on role expectations and evaluation criteria during the process could help candidates better understand how their responses and experience are being assessed. Additionally, in some instances it appeared that the responses expected by the panel might have been aligned with a specific approach or perspective. Candidates, however, often bring varied experiences and practical viewpoints, and it would be valuable if diverse approaches to answering questions were also considered. Preparing for a presentation and attending multiple rounds requires a considerable amount of time and preparation from candidates. While I understand that not every interview process leads to an offer, more detailed feedback would greatly help candidates reflect and improve for future opportunities. Lastly, I had very positive interactions with the hiring manager during the process, which I truly appreciated. However, I was unable to receive any response to my follow-up communication after the interview, and I would have valued even a brief reflection or guidance regarding the decision. Once again, I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to interact with the team and learn more about MathWorks. My intention in sharing this feedback is purely constructive, and I hope it may help enhance the candidate experience in future processes. Thank you again for your time and consideration.
