Applied through LinkedIn (Oct 3). Got a phone call with Tamela (Oct 4). We talked about my background and resume. Got an email invite later that day for an in-person interview. The interview was simple and straight forward (Oct 11). Talked about my background again and was asked why I would be a good fit for this position. The in person interview was with 2 managers for 30 minutes each. I missed their call on Friday (Oct 13), so I called back on Monday (Oct 16) and was informed that I was offered the position and that they wanted an answer asap. I got the offer email that day and thought it was strange how the offer date was last Friday's date instead of Monday's date but didn't really think much of it. I live about an hour away without traffic from Richmond, so I was in the process of contacting apartments closer to the area and sorting out my commute. Then I got an email on Wednesday (Oct 18) saying that if I didn't accept or decline the offer, they were going to retract the offer. I responded back asking if I could wait until Friday so I could make sure I had a place to live before I accepted. They responded back saying they needed an answer by 5 PM, so I declined the offer. If they're already being unreasonable before I'm an employee, I could only imagine how badly I'd be treated once I'm an employee. 2/3 of the employees I met have been with the company for <2 months, so I'm guessing that their turnover rate is high and that's why they wanted to pressure the offer.
