I received a call from the recruiter, and that conversation went well. After that, I had my first interview with the CFO, where we discussed my security background and what they were looking for in the role. The second interview was with the infrastructure manager, who didn’t turn his camera on and mainly asked IT-related questions. The position is listed as a Security Manager, but it became clear they actually want someone to handle both IT and cybersecurity. Honestly, it felt like a waste of time especially since the interviewer wouldn’t even turn his camera on and I wouldn’t have shown up if I knew the role was really an IT/cybersecurity hybrid.
