I mailed the prof and shared my resume and interest in his research work. Then the prof reached out after some time . There was only one round where only discussion regarding my projects took place.

They asked about the project and told to explain in detail . Overall it was quite chill and once the interviewer was convinced with my project the rest of the conversation was mostly on what project i can work on in the internship and other topics.

Resume based, then technical questions, then ideas regarding their new project. The first step is to mail their Ph. D.s along with resumes and project descriptions. Then they will set up the online meeting, and it's an easy interview as they just want to have some conversation.
