      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Medtronic (Boston, MA) nel mese di ago 2023

      Colloquio

Poor execution, long time to schedule. An HR person spent two weeks setting up the interview, then letting me know literally 18 hours prior when the interview is going to happen. Had to ask for the roster, and looked up interviewers at night on linked in. They asked me to prepare a presentation, which I had spent 4 hours to prepare and rehearse. They told me that one of the interviewers cannot be present and asked to record my presentation which I agreed to. During the interview the schedule and people changed, I had people interview me, who were not on the roster originally, people who did not show up to the interview (it was over zoom) and people cancel on me during the interview asking to reschedule for later in the day, instead of 4.5hr originally planned the interview lasted practically all day, I still had to take work calls, respond to slack messages and emails. The interview lasted through lunch and there were no breaks planned at all, people just kept coming at me in groups of two non-stop. When I finally asked for a small water break, a person interviewing me communicated, that she will pass it on to the next group of two, which she either didn't or they ignored her message, as they were unpleasantly surprised that I stepped away to refill my water bottle. The last portion of the interview occurred at 4PM (it was a Friday) a gentleman with a very poor audio and video proceeded to ask me questions, didn't like my answers and made it quite transparent. He failed to introduce himself, but when I looked him up he happened to be a highly ranked leader tough luck I guess on my end. At the end of the interview, I had emailed the HR rep and the hiring manager, that I have enjoyed the team's presentation and questions, would love to join and contribute and looking forward to what the next steps are, also asked for them to thank the rest of the interviewing board, as I didn't have their emails. You would think that after a full day interviewing, being flexible with ad-hoc schedule changes and hours of preparing a presentation someone would get back to you....4 business days later, I have reached out to the HR person and the hiring manager to ask for feedback, you would think after full day interview and hours of preparing a presentation someone would.... Well, I never heard back. I am guessing in their eyes I had failed to impress, but if one asks for such a commitment from an interviewee, you can expect at least a short line of the like: dear person, we have moved to other candidates. People who had shown up were very polite and friendly and took their time to explain the role, the team and the goals. Everyone had a hard time explaining the position and what does it mean to be successful in the role, which leads me to believe that they are just circulating people to extract good ideas from them to improve their process. P.S. they asked me to write an essay prior to the intervview with the the hiring manager, which occured two weeks prior to the final interview. During that interview it became obvious to me, that he has not read my write up at all.
