I applied online. About a month later I got a response for a phone interview which I passed. I was then invited to go down to a full-day interview few days later which was rather rushed. Morning was the group interview and if you pass, you'd be invited back in the afternoon for individual interview. The interview was held in a hotel conference room nearby. There were 15 of us in the morning session and there were 7 Meltwater employees. We all received calls nearly at the same time during the lunch break to find out if we got through.

For the group interviews, we had to:
1. Introduce ourselves and share a personal achievement
2. Group task to sell Meltwater products to a chosen company
3. Present on your passion
After lunch, the individual interview focused on:
1. Cold calling - hypothetical situation given and you had to roleplay a Meltwater employee cold-calling a potential client. I did it twice.
2. Experience - talking through your resume, achievements, weaknesses etc
3. Measuring your qualities against the 6 things Meltwater looks out for in a candidate - be prepared for questions asking you about your greatest failure, your resilience, how driven you are, recent business news etc.

De sollicitatie bestaat uit het schrijven van een brief, een Meet Meltwater dag (digitaal of fysiek), een groepsronde en een individueel gesprek. In de groepsronde doel je verschillende opdrachten zoals een debat en het pitchen van jezelf. Het individuele gesprek is gaaf maar kan intimiderend zijn: er zitten veel mensen tegenover je. De intensiteit is echter voor een reden, je zult met klanten ook je mannetje moeten kunnen staan!

4. Group ronde 2 met 5 dezelfde werknemers en 8 kandidaten
5. Final interview met 5 werknemers die van belang zijn in je toekomstige job. 1 op 1, was heel persoonlijk.
6. Ik moest nog eens op extra gesprek, omdat ze in grote tweestrijd waren.

3) group interview: 2 individual presentations and 2 group presentations to core hiring team and other candidates
4) Final Interview: boardroom meeting with core hiring team. Deep dive into experience. Unprepared role play phone calls
