First step was to take the “Predictive Index Assessment,” which is basically a personality test. Then I had an interview with a talent acquisition specialist who asked canned HR questions and didn’t seem to really listen to my answers. Did not seem to understand any sort of nuance related to healthcare. When I asked about onboarding, ongoing training, and specifics about the relationship with collaborating physician, he was unable to give me any specifics. Did not sound like the company is interested in any genuine collaboration or development of their providers.

Tell me about a wound care program you worked on in the last six months.

I was asked to do a “Predictive Index Assessment” that correlates with the character and personality they are searching for. You are then scheduled with the recruitment specialist on Microsoft Teams who speeds through questioning just to ask about the wound care experience you have. I was told to wear a blazer and tie for the next corresponding interview with the Regional Operations manager who is an NP discussing the more details of the job as well as discussing the compensation structure. I was then told to be going to the final interview, again, wearing a suit jacket and tie over a Teams video meeting with the CFO of the company. I was asked again more basic questions that I have already been asked “why do i want to do wound care” etc etc. as well as asking questions of my own. It’s not perfectly understood how or why the CFO conducts the final interview but had finished and was told to that i will be notified from the recruiter in the next day with a decision.
So up until now I have done 3 separate interviews within 1 week on Teams, 2 of which with a suit jacket and tie waiting on a response from the recruiter. I had waited all Friday, no response despite being told I would be contacted. Monday comes and I had sent a thank you email to the hiring team as well as reached out multiple times to the recruiter after again no response. This seemed peculiar given how enthusiastic the recruiter was and how forward in communication he was before and after interviews. He had previously said prior to the final interview he “bragged about me to the company president” and that I was a strong candidate. I eventually had spoken with the recruiter to be told they are moving onto other candidates. Reasons for not being hired is other stronger candidates and that the CFO questioned my clinical decision making…..yes, a non clinician making a decision on clinical skills.
The experience was great all the up until the decision in which the candid communication had fallen apart ending with a very cold we are moving onto other candidates. Extremely disheartening experience at the end.
I would take the reviews of this company seriously if this is how they treat candidates they are moving on from. I may have dodged a bullet.

Why do you want to do wound care? What experience do you have? Willing to travel upwards to 2 hours a day driving?
