I applied online (after never getting past the initial resume screening process for 20 previous positions) and finally got an email inquiring if I was available for a phone interview. The first woman I interviewed with was professional and polite. The next phone interview I had with a woman on the East Coast, well she was rude and cut me off often. I've applied to Mercer (per my submission page) at least 30 times and clearly they have no interest in hiring outside the company, I'm grateful for AON and Mesirow who at least give in person interviews.

The interview was initially over the phone - a “screening” call which took about 15 minutes and was pretty straightforward questions like previous experience and do you know anyone at the company etc The interview was two weeks later which they confirmed within 3 days of that screening call. The interview lasted an hour and I was asked questions about how I would deal with customer complaints and to give examples of how I have worked well under pressure etc It took 4 weeks to hear back by which time I had found another job.
