Colloquio
I had worked at a Merck as an undergraduate intern and had made many connections there and developed an appreciation for the culture. After I completed my graduate studies and postdoc I interview at a number of pharmaceutical companies and ultimately decided to return to Merck largely because of their commitment to scientific excellence, which remains that primary driver for staying here!
As a scientist, the majority of the interview focused on my scientific abilities.

Domanda 1
The whole day was full of very challenging scientific questions. I don't remember one that particularly stood out
Screening interview was followed by interviews with several people across a variety of different functions. Interviews were back to back. Responsiveness from HR is a little variable. All of the interviews were remote.

Colloquio
Several rounds of group interviews with functional leads and individual interviews with Human Resources and hiring manager. They asked questions related to disease area and role as well as regarding culture guiding principles. A long process with multiple rounds and a case presentation.

Not sure what is happening at Merck, but have had two first round interviews for two different positions. I had the first round HR interview and then nothing....it's literally been months. It's a poor reflection on Merck on the way they handle potential employees

standard check list questions. Check all the boxes...asked by kids barely out of school.
