Phone interview took 40 mins and they asking probing questions, experience and expectations. They also ask you about strengths and weaknesses. In addition, they check your pay range expectations. I had a good first interview, let’s hope for the best!

I have applied for a few different positions in the past few months-all which result in a recruiter reaching out and asking very general, normal interview questions. Each interview, the recruiter indicated I would get an email from a hiring manager to setup another meeting, but they never actually send the email. Good luck reaching out to the recruiter again too-they will make appointments and miss them. & never hear from them again. This had happened twice. Yesterday, a recruiter reached out for an application and asked if I was available, to which I said I am flexible and just tell me when. She replied only with “tomorrow”, and I asked what time should I plan for? She did not reply. This morning, I sent a text to follow up very politely and she just said “today”. Am I supposed to wait by the phone all day?! She ended up calling and couldn’t speak English well, and made it a point to share her kids were with her and if she gets destructed or goes quiet-that’s why. No warmth in her voice, and just stuttered through a script that I know she didn’t even understand. I ended up having to hang up the phone. I really, really wanted to get in with this company and I have education and work history to match, and have gotten offers from competitors but held out for this terrible experience. I am sure the company is great, but the recruiting department needs a total revamp.
