after an application it was a preliminary screening call phone, than an in person interview with the department manager and a second interview with the future coworkers. The hole process was less than two weeks.

I had applied at Metals USA, and then about a week later I received a text message from the human resource specialist. We did a phone screening a couple days later, and I didnt hear anything. So, about a week later I ask him if I'm going to move forward in the process. He says we are still planning on whonand when to bring on site. So, after two weeks I was asked to go on-site. I felt the on-site interview went great. The manager told me that you will hear from by Friday. After 2 weeks pass by, and sending the human resource specialist two messages, I finally realized that they were just giving excuses. Instead of saying we are not hiring you. As of right now, the job post has been on there for 101 days. Since I interviewed 45 days ago the post has been re-posted twice now. I don't think its a lack of talent in the market, they are either searching for someone who doesn't exist, or they really do not need to hire anyone. Bottom line, do not waste your time applying at the metals usa Northbrook location you will just be wasting your time just like alot of these other companies in 2026. Its an employers market, and its certainly showing its ugly head.
