I applied online through the company website for multiple specialties, then did my interview via soon with the nurse manager, clinical coordinator, and other ED admin staff (about 4-5 people).

I scheduled an interview with the unit manager on the phone when she reached out about my online application. Once I got to the in-person interview, there were 5 nurses present who have different roles around the unit. They were very kind and welcoming. Most of the interview was more of a conversation than a rapid firing squad of questions like some interviews go. The staff were actually interested in learning about me and asked a few personal questions related to past experience on my resume. They asked how I decided on that specialty, what some of my career goals are, and what I value on a team. I asked them what each of them found the most valuable about their jobs at Methodist and 4 out of 5 shared that they really do enjoy the people they work with, which was reassuring. When it was over, one nurse gave me a quick tour of the unit, introducing the other nurses as we passed and we chatted about personal things a bit. Overall, great friendly staff and the interview was very informal and mutually comfortable.
