I started my process a few weeks ago, I spoke with the Recruiter Ben and everything went well. He asked me if I could come into the office the next day which required me to take off from my regular job. He asked if I could come into the office at 8:30 am for a standup meeting which is what I did but it was not really much to see, we went over basic information that he could have shared with me over the phone and the hiring manager that was I supposed to meet with an interview the day of. I was told he was sick and asked if i could meet with him the following day, I had to take another time of my work to meet with the hiring manager . We Spoke and everything went well and he expressed his concern about my commute which he said came from the recruiters concerns which I assured him that I was going get a car within the next one month and I was still going to make my way to work ontime everyday regardless of not having one at the moment. I was a little bit shocked about them putting so much pressure on the car situation as I was not expecting it to be a deciding factor in my application process. the recruiter kept on speaking about me getting into training classes and asking me when I can put in my 2 weeks notice during the process which resulted to false hope. Overall I was just disappointed because I was told that the biggest determining factor in my case was my transportation situation and not my skillset. Also they had mentioned that a situation like this has happened in the past with another employee. The company's values reflects equality and I feel like I was judged and led on based on someone else's action in this case. I feel like this is discrimination in the hiring process

The interview was held over the telephone, with three rounds. One with the recruiter, and then another with the recruiting manager, and then one with the owner. Pretty straight forward and to the point.
