I've had an interview with a manager and then a technical interview. I would say that the technical interview in this company was one of the best I had, as it was challenging in the positive way, and covered the essential areas of what makes a good developer.
First, I was asked how would I approach hypothetical issues of an hypothetical web application with 3 tiers. How would I find the origin of an issue when there is a problem with slow performance or a bug with information displayed at the web page? It was easy for me due to my experience as a web application developer, but what I was asked can show the essential skills for web aplicationd developers.
Then after a few questions, I had a technical test in which I had to design a database schema and answer Java questions. After that, I was asked why I answered some of the Java questions I answered.
At the end of the interview I was not tired at all, as I was actually very satisfied with the technical interview. The interviewer was also interesting and friendly, that it's a good sign as ai would love to work with people like them.
