I had interviews for this position on a few separate occasions for different legislators on the Senate side. I felt that interviewers during my interviews weren’t very engaged with/interested in my responses nor the interviews themselves. There were seem to be questions that were both relevant and irrelevant to the position. On one occasion one of the interviewers, prior to the interviews, asked for a list of references. I found this to be strange given that I had to send it in before the interview, not after the interview.
