5 round Interview:
Round 1 - Initial Screening (Hiring Manager/Reporting Manager) - 45 mins to an hour
Interviewer - VP of Sales
Get to know a little bit about you, the company, and the job responsibility.
Round 2 - Technical Test Drive - 1 hour
Interviewer - Senior SA, Cloud Consultant, Sales Director
They provide you with a use case beforehand and you have to perform requirement gathering, brainstorming, and present a solution to them (assuming they are the customers).
Technical deep dive into the architecture, solution, and services being used (AWS)
Outcome - Light to Moderate set of questions basically to understand more about your thought process and ability to lead technical conversations and execute projects
Round 3 - Sales Drive - 1 hour
Interviewer - CRO, VP Sales, Solution Architect
Again, they provide you a customer engagement scenario and the primary responsibility is to gather requirements, building relationships with the customer, dive deep, build a roadmap and define cloud strategy (adoption, migration, optimization, etc.)
Outcome - Moderate to difficult questions based on the scenario, being a successful customer advocate, and driving business growth.
Round 4 - HR - 30 mins
Interviewer - Sr. VP - People and Culture
Scenario-based questions such as:
Tell me a time you went above and beyond for a customer?
Tell me a time where you dealt with a difficult customer?
Tell me a time where you failed?
Tell me about a time you disagreed with your boss?
Outcome - Get to know you better as an individual and how do you fit in a multi-cultured and collaborative environment. Get to know more about the company and its employees a little more in detail.
Round 5 - Bar Raiser - 30 mins
Interviewer - CTO
First 15 minutes introduction by both CTO and yourself. Continued by follow-up questions.
Outcome - Basically get to know more about the company from a senior-level individual and the job responsibilities for the position applied.
The overall process took around 2-3 weeks at max but was very well-coordinated and executed.
Final verdict - Do prepare extensively for the position you are applying for and be prepared to ask as many questions as you can (This basically helps you better understand the people you will be working with and the job responsibility you will have) and make sure expectations align well for all.
