I participated in a phone screen with a peer at another location and then a virtual interview with the supervisor about a week later. Within a couple of hours, I was asked to schedule an on-site interview with the GM and VP, which seemed very promising. For the on-site interview, their team did most of the talking and hardly asked any questions of me. It was a good conversation - I thought that maybe this was more of a "vibe check", as the kids say - so I took it for that and made the most of it. I tried my best to insert my experiences where I could, but it was a little unsettling that I didn't get to say much. I got a tour of the office/facility at the end and talked through a few logistical questions with the GM before I left. 3+ business days passed and I hadn't heard anything. I wasn't too concerned, but then I received a LinkedIn Job Alert email, which included the position/company I was interviewing for. The position wasn't sitting open - it had been reposted. 2 very long days later, I got a generic rejection message. Considering that they kept stressing that the role was open and they wanted to fill it ASAP, it seems odd that they apparently chose none of their candidates.
