First round interview with the HR department then a full day shadow with an account manager, very transparent interviewing process. The management team is very open to answering all questions.

1st interview seemed great, like they were a real marketing firm working with fortune 500 companies. 2nd interview was a real drag. They tell you it's an all-day job shadow, but they don't explain that the job shadow is nothing but going door to door. I asked a lot about the business, and the person I was interviewing with had no idea how it worked beyond the president who worked at Modern Business Concepts. I did some research after the interview and found out that MBC is a branch of a MLM pyramid scheme. I found this article on the consumerist, which not only proves it (8 steps to success, 5 steps to a sale, 4 phases of ownership were a part of the final interview), but also gives plenty of background information to the type of company MBC is.
They will try to win you over with promises of making all kinds of money, but it is all just a way for management to make more money. The more "sales" people they bring in, management gets a higher percentage. They will take whoever they can get as long as they can get them sales. Don't fall into the pyramid scheme.

I applied online as soon as I saw the ad. Seemed perfect for the growth I was looking for. The HR Manager called me and scheduled a first round 30 minute interview with the President directly. It was great to be able to meet with the upper management rather than someone barely out of college and unqualified. Once given the details of the position and going over the company's and my own goals, she said she would or would not call that afternoon- depending on if they felt the goals aligned and it was something to move further with. About 40 minutes into the 2 hour time frame I received a call from the President herself (again- refreshing), and we had the opportunity to schedule a second round interview. During this shadowing experience, I was able to actually meet some of the office team and meet some of the customers the company has a chance to work with. It was a great, hand-on opportunity to REALLY make sure it was something I wanted to do. I loved that. After the second interview was finished, I was able to speak with the President again to do a briefing of the day. I loved what I saw and when I was actually offered the position I was quick to jump on it.
