Company orientation followed by technical aptitude test. Lots of probing questions mostly geared towards problem solving and technical abilities.
Did not get impression that company cared about ability to work in team or willingness to learn, mainly focused on existing technical abilities and problem solving directly related to mining industry.
While taking tour of company, did not get a sense that it was a fun place to work. No joking or laughter coming from anyone.

Interviewer twice failed to show up for the interview. He claimed their AI agent was the reason he failed to show twice. After the third, and successful attempt, he scheduled me for a technical interview. Wouldn’t you know it, no one showed up for that interview either.

Three phase interview process:
1: Phone screening interview with HR for about 30 minutes, asking about why you interested to join the company; very brief highlight about my experince in software development.
2: Skype interview with Software development supervisor for 30 minutes. We went through:
- Algorithm question
- Live coding in Visual Studio
- Software design
3: Onsite interview with HR, 4 other Supervisor, and Manager from different teams. We went through:
- Algorithm question
- Live coding in Visual Studio
- Software design
- Discussion on solving the real challenge in Software development.
Conclusion: I really appreciate the interview process that the team has put in place in terms of:
- Thoughtful followup question
- Preparation environment for live coding session
- Feedback
I can see that the techical team in Modular Mining really has a recipe for success.
