The recruiting process from start to finish was extremely seamless. Jennifer, the recruiter I worked with, was very communicative through out the entire process and was there to let me know what to expect next. There were 4 stages:
- recruiter screen call
- peer interview with exercise/homework
- hiring manager interview
- final panel with presentation
Both the homework for the peer interview and the presentation for the final panel were sufficiently challenging but not overwhelming. I think that by doing both the homework and presentation it helped me learn more about the product and the value it provides to customers and made me appreciate wanting to work at MongoDB more. After I completed my final presentation, the team provided constructive and positive feedback and it was clear that the team wants each other to succeed and was something I valued.
Overall, the process was seamless, transparent, and positive.

Recruiter reached out to me back in October. Had various interviews and was a very start/stop process. Original recruiter was fired, one of the team members I interviewed with left the company. No one would explain why or what happened with them. Company would go on hiring freeze and week later, no more freeze. Red flags everywhere. Final round was a presentation round which is a lot of effort for an interview process. They expect you to know their product inside/out during the presentation when this is only an interview. Overall, declined offer as the interview process is indicative of the company and believe I dodged a bullet.

Company makes very positive impression and two people I had a pleasure to speak with were highly professional. After speaking with recruiter and team leader unfortunately I never received any feedback about next stage or disqualification, lack of communication at that stage was a bit disappointing.

Process was thorough and organized, there is an interviewee portal used that details where you are in the process, who you've met with, who you're going to meet with, and any reference materials needed to complete each step. Communication was reliable throughout the process.
