Colloquio
After applying through my campus career center, I was pre-selected to interview at Morgan Stanley based on my qualifications. Consisted of a pre-interview networking session the night before, an on-campus interview with one MS representative. About 4 weeks later, I got called back for a second interview in which I was flown to NYC, stayed in a hotel one night and interviewed all of the next day at Morgan Stanley's office. One interview was traditional "behavioral" questions (tell me about a challenge you faced, give an example of how you're a leader, etc) and the other was more "technical" questions (how have you changed a process in your work, give me examples of Excel projects you've done). Some questions were a bit more financial markets-related (which way do you think the markets are going, what makes MS stand out amongst its competitors, etc), so read up in the Wall Street Journal a week or two before your interview. Next was a group task with four other students who were also interviewing. We were watched by about six people - HR and senior management interviewers. The purpose was to see how our group interaction took place and called for some quick problem-solving as well. After a Q&A session with some analysts and a senior management speaker, we were done. I heard back within a couple days about the offer to come back as a Summer Analyst.

Describe a situation in which you were responsible for changing a process. What was your approach? What was the End Result?
The interview process was a great experience overall. I enjoyed the conversation and felt it was a strong opportunity to connect my background to the work Morgan Stanley does. There was a HireVue than one one one.

Tell me about yourself and how you're a good match.
After submitting the application, they provide the online assessment link to all the people, I guess. After taking the assessment, the applicants who are moving on to the next step will have a Zoom interview with HR and a superday (final), respectively.

Mostly about fit questions. Not a single technical question was asked.
Well organised, informational, and transparent process. After test there was a hirevue, then a telephone interview and then the superday, all of which was completed in about one month. I appreciated their speed and for not dragging out the process.
