This is by far the worst interview process I've ever been through. And I've had interviewers yell at me on the phone before! First, the director and I had a phone conversation. She seemed like a good person to work with. Then I had to formally apply through through their website link, which seemed backwards. Then I got about 3 different emails from the HR representative giving me options for phone interview times. The times and people came changing, and it seemed quite inconsiderate that they were giving me times they were available -- the next day -- instead of asking about my schedule as HR would in most interview processes. Then I guess they changed their minds and wanted me to come in for an interview instead. They asked me on a Thursday to come in that Monday and told me to select one of two options for times. They didn't give me any other options besides Monday. At this point, I wanted to cancel the interview because of their inconsiderate, disorganized and unprofessional process but I reluctantly decided to go ahead with it. So I picked a time. They confirmed and then they asked me to come in earlier. I said no as I couldn't afford to leave work any earlier for a "doctor's appointment". They didn't give me a timeline for the interview (as in who I would be meeting with when), and half the people they said I was supposed to meet didn't show up. Instead, I only met with one designer. You can't get a feel for a design team by only meeting with one person on the design team. They also asked me to bring my computer to show my portfolio but couldn't get their wifi to work on my computer. So then they had an IT person look at my computer, which I was not happy about. I had to log into gmail on one of their computers on their network to pull my portfolio, which I also wasn't very happy about. The people seemed nice and smart but all of the other issues were way too frustrating. You could also tell that they are not up-to-date with the product design industry though a few people are trying to make waves there. When they called to tell me I didn't get the job (I was neither surprised nor disappointed), though pretty shocked they actually called me to tell me.
