The first interview was very informal. Me and 3 professionals talking about my background. The second interview was much more intense. It was a panel with the head of the research areas. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. This product was very new for them, and the people at Morningstar are not sales people. They are quants. So, they asked a lot of questions that a quant person would want to know from a salesperson. How do you network, how do you control a meeting, how do you deal with rejection, etc. The meeting was deceptively informal.
