Applied: March 2026 | Interviewed: Withdrew before interview
I applied for this role and was scheduled for an interview. After careful consideration, I withdrew before the interview took place. Here is why.
The Process:
Communication from the recruiting team was chaotic. Emails were forwarded to recruiters who had no involvement in the role. Requests for basic information were met with generic responses. When I raised questions about reasonable accommodations, the recruiting team appeared unaware of how to handle them. This raised serious concerns about whether the company has the necessary processes in place to support candidates with medical conditions or diverse needs.
The Team Dynamic:
I researched the hiring managers and discovered that both had been doing the exact same role one year ago at the same job level they are now hiring for. They were promoted at the same time to manager level. Both are junior to me in professional experience and academic qualifications. Training and career growth would have been limited—not because of the company, but because team dynamics do not function well when hiring managers have less experience than the person they would be assessing and potentially managing.
Cultural Considerations:
The company remained open for business on Eid day. This reflects a lack of consideration for cultural and religious observances and raises significant concerns about work-life balance and inclusivity.
Salary Conversation:
Salary was thrown out over a phone call without proper discussion. This does not work due to cultural considerations. For context, this was never about money.
Overall Impression:
The recruiting team lacks awareness of diversity hiring and reasonable accommodations. The team structure suggests limited growth for experienced candidates. Cultural awareness is absent. I chose to withdraw rather than invest time in a process that did not align with my values or career goals.
Advice to Management:
Train recruiting teams on diversity hiring and reasonable accommodations
Consider cultural and religious observances when setting business hours
Be transparent about team structure and growth opportunities for experienced candidates
Would I recommend? No.

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Motive (Islamabad, ) nel mese di ago 2025
Colloquio
Questions were put up vaguely by the interviewer, with indications that a candidate had already been chosen and that the interview was just a formality to reject. The interviewer did not ask questions related to either the JD or the CV.
Domande di colloquio [1]
Domanda 1
They asked if I had been in a position as the interviewer, how would I explain the JD to the candidate.
