Initial screening/ fit call with the recruiter. There is an online coding/assessment where we discussed what kind of test. It was said that the assessment would be SQL. After opening the test, it was an algos/DS question around nodes. Emailed the recruiter to clarify if I was given the right test. Said it was. The next day, got a rejection before even submitting anything.

Take home coding test - leetcode easy style adapted to a truck route problem. Then an interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter told me it was going to be just a talk about my experience and background and what I actually got was a quiz on ML models which I was not expecting and wasn’t prepped for. So beware and prep for everything and don’t really go by the recruiter. Very misleading and different from larger more structured startups where you know what to expect and can prepare. Overall very bad experience.

I applied through an internal referral. First call was with a recruiter, second call was with the hiring manager talking about previous experience and career goals. Then two 75-minutes live coding rounds where you are given a task and you are free to solve the problem on your own (including Googling). You will have to share your screen and the interviewer will occasionally check in on you or you can ask question. The first round is pretty simple, but the second live coding round was the toughest I have ever witnessed and involved a lot of specialized skills (POST/GET requests, regular expression, string manipulation). I did not do well. Got a rejection email a few days after.
