      Colloquio per Paid Search Analyst

      8 lug 2023

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso MotiveMetrics nel mese di mag 2023

      Colloquio

I had four interviews, 1 initial screener with the person I'd report to (he was 15 minutes late), 2 with random team members, and 1 with the CEO. The CEO was talking about how he loved my experience and how it fit in perfectly with what they need. He then went on to talk about who I'll work with and what I'll be doing. Great. One week, nothing. I follow up with the direct report who has me get on a short notice ad hoc call. This time he was 25 minutes late. He tells me that he'd rather hire this other guy because he is a coder who writes Python. Nowhere on the analyst job summary does it mention coding of any kind. He then says would I consider the AM role and spends 10 minutes looking for the role description, which I find myself after 2 minutes searching their website. I say sure I'd be happy to be considered, I'd be happy to come to Boston for training, and I'd even stay with family so they don't have to pay for a hotel. He says great and I'll know next steps by Friday. Friday comes and goes, nothing again. I reach out the following Friday asking for an update and am told he's still considering people for the analyst role and that I had not "sold" him on my interest in the AM role. I replied that I never actually applied for that role but had shown interest anyway, that I never claimed to know how to code nor did the analyst role ever list that as a requirement, and that I had interviewed with numerous people at the company numerous times and followed up with him directly multiple times. If this did not sell him on my interest, then I surmised nothing ever would and removed myself from consideration. Also, I received a few rescheduling requests at around 1AM Eastern. Not sure if this is a rare thing or if people are working at those hours, but take it for what it is.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

What search platforms have you worked on? Do you have experience with proprietary platforms? Would you like to instead be considered for this position you never applied for?
