I interviewed for the Visual Designer role and was really excited about the opportunity. The process started off well and included a design task followed by a presentation and interview. However, the final round left me feeling deflated. The session was meant to be a discussion around the design task, but instead, it felt like I had to defend my work without much clarity on what was expected of me in the first place.
There was a noticeable shift in tone during the last interview, which made things feel off. I was also told feedback wouldn’t be provided, which felt disappointing given the amount of effort and time I put into the process. It was a role I genuinely cared about, so not receiving any constructive feedback or a clear outcome after the final stage made the experience feel frustrating and a bit unfair.
Interview processes can be tough, but clarity, communication, and respect for the candidate’s time go a long way, and unfortunately, that was missing in the final stretch here.
