      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 7 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Mozilla nel mese di ott 2011

      Colloquio

The whole process was not very time efficient at all. So i applied online for a position in my city, and received an email from HR. They scheduled a 30-45 minute phone interview that was to take place a week from then. Like someone else has mentioned, it was very hard to hear/understand the person on the other end of the line during the phone interview because they were 3 time zones away and most likely using VoIP. A couple days after the phone interview I emailed the HR lady to see when they would make a decision. She said she was meeting with my interviewer now and would get back to me next week. Next week came and went, so I sent another email the week after that because she never got back to me. Again not hearing a response for days, I figured i simply did not make it. Then randomly the week after that, they email me asking if I would be available for an interview since the team members were visiting from California. I said yes, and i was scheduled for 2 and a half hours of interviews with 5 people. The interviews consisted of half hour each, 2 of them were in person, and 2 were on an ipad which was very awkward to hold and talk into using FaceTime. Most of the interviewers also said the same thing over and over, talked about the position and the company and asked me about myself. They really could have condensed it into one group interview, because they basically overlapped and it was very redundant having to repeat myself for 2 hours. I was given tours of the office multiple times, everyone was pretty friendly. During my scheduled interview time they couldn't seem to get a hold of one team member, or locate where he was. So they simply told me not to worry about it, and I would simply not have to interview with that person. So an hour after getting home, I receive a phone call from California telling me that 'oh you missed an interview and soandso would really like to interview you, could you please come back at 5 'oclock.' Of course I was a little annoyed because i again had to travel to their office in a couple hours for another interview with a person who was not there for the scheduled time. So i canceled my other appointments and went back in, since I assumed it was a good sign. The interview was another 25-30 minutes, and was exactly like the rest of them. I got in contact with the HR person again after to see when a decision would be reached. She said she would meet with the team members next week, so she would be sure to let me know of a decision soon, and to give her at least a week and half. So... 2 weeks later I e-mail her after not hearing anything, and she responds with 'oh you must not have got my e-mail i sent 2 weeks ago (what?), but we are not going forward with anyone since no one was a good match. The whole process was well over a month, and very tedious. They were nice people, but it was just handled terribly.
