      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Music & Arts (Frederick, MD) nel mese di gen 2021

      Colloquio

2 calls. One with a company recruiter where we discussed basic qualifications. A second with a development manager at Music & Arts and a lead programmer at Guitar Center. The screener was easy and friendly. We discussed my qualifications and the company. She didn't have much information on the position, team, or role. She was also given some very weird technical screening questions like "What is OWASP?". Overall, a positive experience. She was very friendly and made working there seem awesome. The second interview was more technical. We discussed my previous experience. It became clear they were looking for a lead developer / architect with experience in angular and .NET Core, which I did not have. They were polite and kept it nice and friendly despite that. The technical interview consisted of a barrage of fairly basic trivia style questions on .NET framework and APIs. They would have asked me angular questions if I had claimed experience in that area. They probably would have asked me some harder questions if I was able to answer the basic ones. That's on me. Being my first interview after working at the same company for 15 years and being self taught, I bombed HARD. Definitely study and know your terms and .NET framework inside and out. The engineering manager and lead programmer seemed super sharp and knowledgeable. They definitely seemed like bright, awesome people to work with. And the company seems like it'd be a cool place to work. Come prepared for a technical interview and you'll be fine.
